The Iowa Firefighters Association Convention has been held annually since 1878.

The 2012 Convention will be held in Manchester, Iowa September 5th - 9th, 2012. Keep checking for updates here as the time gets closer! The Manchester Convention Website is now up.

The Grinnell Fire Department is entering the race for the Iowa Firefighters Association convention for 2014. 2014 will be the 50th Anniversary of the last time that Grinnell hosted this event. The Grinnell Firefighters ask you to show your support of their 2014 campaign and join their Facebook Convention page.

Don't forget to save your can tabs!!! The Atlantic Fire Department sponsors a contest each year at convention and awards a traveling trophy to the department that brings in the most can tabs. The can tabs raise money for the Shrine Hospital Burn Unit. The 2011 winner was Little Rock with a total of 468 lbs. of tabs! This year's record grand total was 2,180 lbs. of can tabs!! Start saving for next year...
